Registration

ICANN 2024 is intended to be a non-profit event. We hence strive to keep the conference fee as low as possible, for students in particular. 

Please note that ICANN 2024 will be organized as an in-person event. We thank all presenters for traveling to Lugano and joining the conference, in order to foster the professional exchange between the participants.

Note:

  • Early registration closes on 5th of July 2024 AoE. Late registration deadline will be announced.
  • For each paper, at least one author must be registered. Failure to register may cause the withdrawal of the paper.
  • All registration fees include a 10 EUR fee as a contribution towards the payment processing fees.
  • Any payment requesting a post-hoc handling after registration will be charged an administrative fee of 30 EUR.
  • For each accepted paper at least one registration is required.

The registration fee includes

  • Access to scientific sessions and plenary talks
  • Coffee breaks and lunches during the main conference
  • Electronic access to the Conference Proceedings
  • Membership of the European Neural Network Society for the year 2024

Conference Gala dinner is not included in the registration fee. The conference gala dinner can be added to your registration. The price is 60 EUR.

Terms and Conditions

  • By submitting a paper, the authors certify that their work is original and complies with the ethical guidelines for human and animal research, if any such research is involved.
  • Valid author registration is complete only after both the registration form is submitted and the payment has been received.
  • To be eligible for ENNS registration rates you must be a current member of the ENNS (membership paid for 2024). If you select the ENNS rates without being a member with a paid membership for 2024, your ICANN registration is not valid.

Cancellation Policy

Cancellations are accepted by E-mail only to the registration secretariat. The registration fee will be refunded minus 30% for cancellations received no later than July 15th, 2024. Thereafter no refunds will be made. All refunds will be processed within 21 days of written request if applicable. Please note that if you are the sole registered author for a paper and cancel your registration, your abstract/article will not be published.
Paper withdrawal can be requested by E-mail. Only first authors are allowed to withdraw a paper. State your name and registration ID in the E-mail message. Withdrawal of an paper without cancelling registration does not entail refund of the registration fee. Deadline for withdrawal is July 15th.
Submitted papers are not published if the first author or the co-author with the registration cancelled his/her registration, or if the payment of the registration fee is not received by the deadline specified here.

Transfer of registration

If the registered person cannot participate to the conference due to objective reasons, the registration can be transferred to another author of the article, who is eligible for the same or lower registration fee (i.e., full to student registration but not vice versa). In this case, please, submit your request to ENNS and explain the reasons. Notice, that we will not be able to send another invitation letter to a substituted author unless he or she will register for the conference himself/herself (see the “Letter of Invitation” section above).

Letter of invitation

The ICANN organizers will issue letters of invitation upon request, to be used for visa applications. After a confirmed registration (payment completed), please go to the site https://e-nns.org/icann2024/visas and fill in your information. In particular, you will need your passport information and (if applicable) the ID of your accepted paper.

Please note that payment via bank transfer can take up to a week to be confirmed. Therefore, if you need an invitation letter soon, we recommend that you pay by credit card.
