The ICANN 2023 proceedings will be published in the Springer Lecture Notes in Computer Science (LNCS) series, indexed as peer-reviewed publication in the Web of Science.
Submission instructions are below.
Call for contributed scientific communications
All scientific communications presented at ICANN 2023 will be reviewed and scientifically evaluated by a panel of experts. The conference will feature:
- oral communications (15′ total with 12′ presentation and 3′ Q&A)
The review process is single blind: submissions should NOT be anonymous.
Authors willing to present original contributions in either oral or poster category may submit:
- A full paper of maximum 12 pages (references included) to be published in Springer-Verlag Lecture Notes in Computer Science (LNCS) series with individual DOI.
- An extended abstract of maximum 4 pages to be published in Springer-Verlag Lecture Notes in Computer Science (LNCS) series, without indexing.
Types of accepted papers
During the submission process, make sure to select the kind of contribution you want to submit. To summarize, the following options are available:
- Full paper for oral presentation
- Extended abstract for oral presentation
How to submit a contribution
Important: While visiting EasyAcademia.org, please use Firefox or Chrome. Internet Explorer or other browsers may have compatibility issues which can prevent you from submitting.
- Create an “EasyAcademia” account through www.easyacademia.org (if you don’t have one)
- Activate your account by clicking on the activation link sent to your email.
Note: Please check your Spam folder if you have not received the email within a few minutes. - Log into https://www.easyacademia.org/icann2023, using the login details you provided at the beginning.
- Click on Start a new submission on the top right to enter the submission process.
- Select an appropriate track e.g. (Main Event / Workshop – when available)
- Go through the guidelines
- Enter the appropriate information in the Title step.
- Under Authors please input details for each author of the paper. At least one author must be marked for each type of role available (presenter, corresponding).
Note: Only authors marked as correspondents will receive updates and information regarding the submission. - In the Upload step, please click on Upload Paper and find the relevant completed document for your submission on your computer (PDF).
- In the Attachment step, click on the Upload Attachment button on the right and find the Source file for your submission on your computer. Word files or a ZIP containing LaTeX files are accepted.
- Under Summary you may check the details of the submission. If you wish to go back to a section in order to change details, just click on the appropriate step on the left.
- If you are happy with the summary information, please click on Submit Now to finalize the process. A notification e-mail will be sent to the correspondents.

Materials and instructions for the LNCS series
The ICANN 2023 proceedings will be published in the Springer Lecture Notes in Computer Science (LNCS) series.
- Springer’s authors’ guidelines. Should be consulted before submission.
The following templates should be used for full papers as well as extended abstracts:
- LaTeX Template. Please, note that Springer’s proceedings LaTeX templates are also available in Overleaf.
- Word Template. Whenever possible, please use the LaTeX template instead.
Springer encourages authors to include their ORCIDs in their papers.
Final upload
If your paper was accepted, please proceed to the final upload via EasyAcademia (instruction in EasyAcademia). The final upload should contain:
- paper sources (LaTeX or Word)
- paper PDF
- signed copyright form.
Note: The corresponding author of each paper, acting on behalf of all of the authors of that paper, must complete and sign a, through which the copyright for their paper is transferred to Springer. The corresponding author signing the copyright form should match the corresponding author marked on the paper. Once the files have been sent to Springer, changes relating to the authorship of the papers cannot be made.
