Note that for physical tickets it is mandatory to validate the ticket before boarding by using the (yellow or green) validation machines located on the platforms and throughout the station. This may not be needed if you buy the ticket online or you use the app.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>By plane<\/strong>: the nearest airport is the&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.veneziaairport.it\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Venice airport (Marco Polo)<\/a>, which is connected to Padova by a&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.fsbusitalia.it\/eng\/tourism\/airport-connection-services\/link-to-venice-airport.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">bus service<\/a>. Some low-cost companies fly to&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.trevisoairport.it\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Treviso airport<\/a>&nbsp;which is also connected to Padova by another&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.trevisoairport.it\/en\/transport\/bus.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">bus service<\/a>. Another alternative is to fly to&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.aeroportoverona.it\/en\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Verona airport<\/a>, which is connected to Verona Porta Nuova railway station by a dedicate&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.aeroportoverona.it\/en\/transport\/aerobus.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">bus service<\/a>. From Verona Porta Nuova, you can reach Padova by train in approximately 50 minutes. A final possibility is to fly to&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.bologna-airport.it\/en\/welcome-to-bologna-airport\/?idC=62175\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Bologna airport<\/a>, which is connected to Bologna Centrale railways station by a&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.bologna-airport.it\/en\/from-and-to-the-airport\/transfer-from-and-to-the-airport\/train-to-the-city-centre\/?idC=62594\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">monorail train<\/a>.
