{"id":3580,"date":"2024-06-03T23:26:28","date_gmt":"2024-06-03T23:26:28","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/e-nns.org\/icann2024\/?post_type=news&#038;p=3580"},"modified":"2024-06-03T23:27:47","modified_gmt":"2024-06-03T23:27:47","slug":"tox24-challenge","status":"publish","type":"news","link":"https:\/\/e-nns.org\/icann2024\/news\/tox24-challenge\/","title":{"rendered":"Tox24 Challenge"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/e-nns.org\/icann2024\/challenge\">The Tox24 challenge<\/a> is designed to assess the state of the art in computational methods for predicting in vitro activity of compounds. &nbsp;The chemicals and compounds have been tested for activity against <a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Transthyretin\">transthyretin (TTR)<\/a> &#8211; an important end point in identifying <a href=\"https:\/\/www.niehs.nih.gov\/health\/topics\/agents\/endocrine\">endocrine disrupting chemicals (EDCs)<\/a> &#8211; by the <a href=\"https:\/\/epa.gov\">US Environmental Protection Agency (EPA)<\/a>. Due to the limited amount of data on binding activities of compounds with TTR, only a few computational studies have been reported in the literature thus far.
