Important update about ICANN 2020<\/h4>\n\n\n\n
Dear ICANN Contributor,<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The current situation due to the COVID-19 pandemic has changed the landscape of how we work and meet, and brought a lot of uncertainty to everyone\u2019s plans for 2020.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Based on the current restrictions to travel and gatherings, as well as forecasts for the coming months, it is difficult to imagine a large event such as ICANN take place in September 2020. Therefore, after a lot of consideration and discussions, the ICANN 2020 Organizing Committee, together with the Executive Committee of the European Neural Network Society have decided to postpone the physical meeting of ICANN 2020 and schedule next year\u2019s ICANN in September 2021 in Bratislava, Slovakia, since we also believe that a physical meeting has so many advantages compared to a virtual one.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n More details here: Update about ICANN 2020<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n <\/p>\n\n\n\n <\/p>\n\n\n\n The 29th International Conference on Artificial Neural Networks. The International Conference on Artificial Neural Networks (ICANN) is the annual flagship conference of the European Neural Network Society (ENNS). Conference proceedings are published by Springer in Lecture Notes in Computer Science.<\/p>\n\n\n\n ICANN 2020 will feature two main tracks: Brain inspired computing and Machine learning research, with strong cross-disciplinary interactions and applications. All research fields dealing with Neural Networks will be present at the Conference. In 2020 the Faculty of Mathematics, Physics and Informatics (FMPI), Comenius University in Bratislava, together with the Slovak Society for Cognitive Science, organize the 29th ICANN Conference. The ideal of ICANN is to bring together researchers from two worlds: information sciences and neurosciences. The scope is wide, ranging from machine learning algorithms to models of real nervous systems. The aim is to facilitate discussions and interactions in the effort towards developing more intelligent computational systems and increasing our understanding of neural and cognitive processes in the brain.<\/p>\n\n\n\n![\"\"](\"https:\/\/e-nns.org\/icann2018\/wp-content\/uploads-2020\/2015\/08\/lncs.jpg\")
